It's Thursday night when Jeremy and I decide to stop by this place due to my sudden craving for sweets. Initially we're thinking of just getting one cupcake each but when they offer us 3 for $10 we can't help but give in and get an extra to share.
Jeremy chooses the Creme Brulee cupcake, which is a vanilla base with custard in the centre and a buttercream icing on top. There's a drizzle of caramel and a scattering of praline on top to give it that sugary brulee flavour.
For my cupcake I choose the Salted Caramel which comes with a chocolate cupcake base and vanilla buttercream icing. The cupcake itself is deliciously springy while still being moist. It's actually really light and enjoyable. The salted caramel drizzle over the top lives up to its name - its salty! But as a BIG salted caramel fan, I like that dangerous line it walks between savoury and sweet. A simple but yummy cupcake in my opinion.
For our shared cupcake we land on the Vanilla with Custard filling. It's an ethereally light vanilla base with vanilla icing and a nice custard centre. I love the little candy love hearts that dot the icing giving it some textural sugary crunch and some colour to the otherwise plainer appearance.
All up I have to say, these cupcakes are as pretty as a picture and definitely give you a much needed sugar fix. For a shopping centre stand, I am surprised by how enjoyable they are!
